As an NGO undertaking humanitarian activities in several countries of the world, BftW, Germany has been implementing pilot projects to improve educational conditions and environment of schools in cooperation with KEF since 2008.

It set up sewing and cooking practice rooms and established a power supply system based on renewable energy for Yonphung Senior Middle School, Anju City, thus contributing to improvement of educational conditions of the school.

Besides, it gave cooperation in building a solar-heated greenhouse based on a production cycle in the then Chongsan College of Agriculture, and in setting the central heating system fed with biomass pellets in Taechu Senior Middle School, Anak County.
