Early in October Korea Education Fund carried out the work of transplanting 50 000 3-year-old oil peony saplings from the parent tree nursery in Kangso District to a local mountain under the care of a Children's Union organization.

KEF, together with researchers of the Academy of Forest Science, checked the growth of saplings and gave technical guidance for the transplanting.

The first harvest will come in the Children's Union forest two years later.
