Schoolchildren Shed Tears of Excitement

(2025.1.20.)

The following happened when the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Mangyongdae Revolutionary School on lunar New Year’s Day in 2012 and had a photo taken with its teaching staff and students.

With a broad smile on his face, he went towards the photographing stand.

Wiping away tears from the eyes of a student on the first row, he told him to stop weeping and asked if he was not cold.

When he answered no in a tearful voice, Kim Jong Un turned to other student beside him and took his hands.

Noting that the students’ hands were cold, he asked the senior official of the school to make them put on gloves.

Hearing his affectionate worry, the students were moved to tears.

After posing with them, he made his way to the statue of President Kim Il Sung, waving his hand to the cheering teaching staff and students.

Then, he wore a worried expression at the sight of the students still ungloved.

He urged the senior official again to make them put on gloves.

Listening to what the fatherly Marshal said, the students shed tears of excitement.
