One day in June 2016, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the renovated Mangyongdae Children’s Camp.

While looking round several places of the camp in satisfaction, he said to the officials that it would be advisable to build a hydroponic greenhouse and a vegetable greenhouse in large camps in the future.

The officials understood him for caring about the supply services for the campers.

But they realized they misunderstood him, as he went on in the following vein: It would help the students acquire the method of greenhouse management through object lessons during the camping period. If they cultivate vegetables in the greenhouse by themselves, it would serve as a good opportunity for them to get knowledge of greenhouse farming and combine theory with practice.

They were struck with admiration. When renovating the camp, they had showed greater concern over the issue of providing sufficient living conditions to ensure that the children enjoy themselves without any inconvenience.

Looking around them, Kim Jong Un said that many spaces for combining theory with practice should be created when building a children’s camp in the future so as to ensure that the campers get a wealth of knowledge and gain experience of actual life.

The officials were deeply moved, as he asked them to train the students into able talents who are possessed of theoretical knowledge and practical abilities, instead of paying attention to ensuring that they have a pleasant time during the camping.
