On the occasion of March 18 every year, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea presents the Students' Scientific Search Prize to university students who have published scientific papers which are of great value for academic circles and socialist construction or invented and devised something valuable. A lot of students received the prize over the last 30-odd years.

In the flames of the movement for the prize which is getting more vigorous as the days go by, the students are preparing themselves as true students in the era of knowledge-based economy and talented revolutionary personnel for construction of a powerful socialist country, who support the Workers' Party of Korea by achieving good results in scientific research.
