One day in January Juche 95 (2006) Chairman
After appreciating their pieces of work he asked them to try some brush-writing and drawing.
Presently, the Chairman said with satisfaction: The children are good at brush-writing and drawing. They are no less good than the students in the beginners’ course of Pyongyang University of Fine Arts. The kindergarten has trained many talented children before, and this time they have produced another ones. The kindergarten has a good tradition.
A teacher from the kindergarten answered that they first found out the gleam of natural talent among the children and then trained them by combining kindergarten lessons and specialized instruction.
Appreciating her words as reasonable, the Chairman said: You should just see inborn talent as the main point considering the talent education and genius training. School and kindergarten teachers and officials concerned should find out good buds of natural talent first, and then bring them into full bloom by specialized instruction and systematic education. As far as talent training is concerned, natural talent is essential and therefore it should be put to great value.
His instruction meant an important guideline for education of the younger generation and training of talented personnel, which is a matter of critical importance related to the future of the nation.
The Chairman had some photos taken with the two talented children and their teachers. Wishing that the children would become better and better at brush-writing and drawing and thus produce better pieces of art, he made a kind-hearted promise to make time again to see them.
