Illustrated Reading Books for Children

(2025.7.10.)

One July day in 2012, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Kyongsang Kindergarten again.

While making the rounds of the kindergarten, he asked an accompanying official to fetch the illustrated reading books he had brought with him.

Over 40 days ago when he visited the kindergarten, he acquainted himself with the supply of newly-published illustrated reading books and took measures to send many of them to the kindergarten.

Kim Jong Un said to the officials: Today I’ve brought various kinds of books for children, including picture puzzles.

There might be the same books as those I sent before. If there are many copies of the same books it would be convenient for children to read them at the same time.

Only when they read many picture puzzles, can they improve their ability to understand, analyze and assess objects and phenomena.

The officials were deeply moved while listening to him who wanted children to grow up healthily into pillars of the country.

Before leaving the kindergarten, Kim Jong Un stressed: I came to this kindergarten again as it is an important issue to refurbish and operate it well so as to cultivate the intellectual faculty and talents of preschoolers.

This story tells his ennobling intention to give top priority to the education of the rising generations.
