For the Good of Orphans

(2025.2.25.)

One February day in 2014, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Baby Home and the Pyongyang Orphanage.

In the playing room of the Pyongyang Orphanage he was told that children would give performance on its stage, and he said he wanted to see it.

Then, orphans began to sing the song Thank You, Marshal Kim Jong Un to the accompaniment of accordion.

In the refrain of the song, tears ran down the cheeks of children as they had yearned for their fatherly Marshal.

Looking at them singing in a clear voice, Kim Jong Un said he hardened his resolve to take good care of them lest they fell an iota of gloom.

When they finished their song, the orphans rushed to him, calling him “Father!”

Tears welled up in Kim Jong Un’s eyes when embracing all of them.

After a while, Kim Jong Un told the officials: What orphans miss most is the parents’ love. Parental affection should be shown for them. Then they will always live cheerfully without feeling the sorrow of being parentless.

From now on, I will take direct charge of the affairs related to the baby home and orphanage.

Listening to him, the officials were deeply moved by the world of his infinite love for the orphans.
