The following happened February day some years ago. That day he was very pleased as the school has been fully provided with excellent educational environment and living conditions.
The accompanying officials were deeply moved.
As he was so desirous of building a new school for orphans as soon as possible that he took a measure for pushing ahead with its construction without interruption even when he saw to it that the construction of Ryomyong Street, a project of great significance, was postponed and the whole country was mobilized for the campaign of rehabilitating the flood-stricken northern area in North Hamgyong Province.
He looked round the school, giving precious instructions which would serve as guidelines in its management and operation.
Then, he said to the accompanying officials: Now the orphans can study to their heart’s content in the cradle of happiness and grow up into staunch pillars of the prosperous Korea.
The sound of their laughter and singing gives an impetus to advancing socialism. We should defend their laughter and singing more firmly.
He added with confidence that when their laughter and singing grow louder our socialist cause would win one greater victory after another.

It was an aphorism that could be made by the great father who makes devoted efforts for the bright future of the rising generations, saying that our children are treasures more valuable than billions of tons of gold and they represent the hope and future of the country.
