The photo shows Ri Myong Song, a special-class disabled ex-soldier at Sumung-dong, Sinuiju, North Phyongan Province, who was diagnosed to be a critical case 10 years ago.

Though he used to be a paraplegic, he has finished Sinuiju Disabled Soldiers' College of Economics with top honour as a Kim Il Sung Scholarship awardee under the warm care of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Without the care of the Party that values the disabled soldiers as treasure of the country, his happiness and honour would be inconceivable.
