The e-library of Pyongyang University of Transport has served as the central data base and centre for scientific and technical information in the field of railway transport since October 2016.

The library has reading halls and rooms on four floors and can accommodate 370 people at a time and seat 240 people at a time for electronic reading, and there are 50 000 books available. Besides, the library is provided with all conditions needed for students’ work and teachers and researchers’ scientific research as it has a newspaper and magazine reading room, a foreign-language book reading room, e-reading halls, a local network reading room, a foreign-language audio and video room, an academic discussion room, a scientific and technical information exchange room, a distance learning room, and so on.

The e-library is of great service for the teaching staff and students of the university which is an important establishment for training able personnel for the sector of transport.
