One day in June Juche 105 (2016) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the newly-refurbished Mangyongdae Children’s Camp at the foot of Mt Ryongak.

Saying with great satisfaction that the renovation had been done in a big way, he noted that the compound of the camp had been spruced up completely as finely as a park.

He continued to say: Now the number of extracurricular educational bases for children is increasing under the care of the whole country, and I think the people with children feel happy to see these wonderful structures appear one after another; we should find our pleasure in hearing the happy laughter of the people including children.

Noting that they should increase the public interest in the children’s camps and spare nothing for the rising generations, he stressed that the local authorities should put emphasis on establishment of extracurricular educational bases and push ahead with the project forcefully.
